Meet Liezl-Thea Brits

Liezl-Thea Brits began her career with Van Rensburg Schoon Attorneys in 1996, completing her articles under the mentorship of one of the firm’s founders, Smiley Schoon. She became a director of the firm in 2006.

Before she began her career with Van Rensburg Schoon Attorneys, Liezl worked in the Pretoria Deeds Office as senior examiner and training officer for 7 years.

She is a University of Pretoria alumni, obtaining her BLC degree in 1990 and her LLB degree in 1992. Her active involvement in the training of estate agents also allows her to continually improve her skillset and expand her knowledge.

As an admitted Attorney, Notary Public and Conveyancer of the High Court of South Africa, as well as a member of the Legal Practice Council of South Africa, Liezl is able to guide you through the legal labyrinth you find yourself in.

Her passion for history and enjoyment of documentaries has sharpened her understanding of how peoples’ lives are affected by the events that occur in the world, helping her offer a unique edge to the legal solutions she offers her clients every day.
